AMJAD KHANCHE BARISTA COFFEE COMPANY
Amjad Khanche began his entrepreneurial journey with the Barista Coffee Company in 2000. Amjad, along with a small group of entrepreneurs, wanted to introduce real espresso coffee to India.
Amjad and his partners had a large vision for the company, and they were determined to grow the business rapidly in all parts of India. The plan was to open 100 coffee shops in over two years, and in just under 10 months, they had already established 55 coffee shops in India. Barista Coffee Company quickly became a recognised brand throughout the country.
AMJAD IN INDIA
Amjad was only 22 years of age, but already he was driven to prove his entrepreneurial abilities while making a difference to Barista Coffee Company’s gains and losses. Amjad moved in to manage the western region of India and created their brand for the rest of India. He was eager to prove his ability to his partners.
Some of Amjad Khanche’s many successes during his time at Barista Coffee Company include being awarded Employee of the Month three times in a row. Amjad’s vision and passion for the growth of the company also lead Barista Coffee Company to be awarded Brand of the Year by BBC India.
After the company’s many successes, Amjad Khanche eventually played a key strategic role in the part-trade sale of Barista Coffee Company India in the year 2002.
